New Delhi: Sakar Healthcare Ltd on Tuesday announced it has secured 14 new regulatory approvals and authorisations for its oncology products across the European Union (EU), the UK, and Canada.
The approvals, obtained in collaboration with seven global business partners, mark a significant expansion of the company’s footprint in highly regulated international markets, Sakar Healthcare said in a release.
Key highlights include the approval of site variations for five additional oncology products by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) under a technology transfer pact with Accord Healthcare.
With this, six of the eight initiated technology transfers from Accord have received regulatory clearance.
Additionally, six licensed-out oncology products secured marketing authorisations across these regions, covering treatments for various cancers including breast, lung, prostate, and leukaemia.
The company reported a rise in net profit to Rs 10.28 crore, compared to Rs 4.67 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations grew 38 per cent year-on-year to Rs 72.97 crore, while EBITDA margins improved to 29 per cent.
“The latest regulatory progress is a validation of Sakar’s focused investments in oncology manufacturing and research. We are building a scalable platform to support wider commercialisation and sustained growth,” said Sanjay Shah, Managing Director, Sakar Healthcare.
The company stated it remains focused on strengthening customer relationships and improving capacity utilisation to convert international opportunities into commercial scale.
