Studds Accessories Reports 27% Market Share and 9 Million Helmet Capacity
Established in 1983, Studds Accessories has evolved into a global name in helmet manufacturing. The company commands a 27% market share by volume and operates four automated plants in Faridabad, with a combined capacity to produce 9.04 million helmets annually. Its flagship brands Studds for mass markets and SMK for premium riders cater to over 70 international markets, including Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.
With over 240 designs and 19,000 SKUs, the brand serves both OEM and retail customers. It collaborates with two-wheeler giants such as Hero MotoCorp, Honda, and Royal Enfield, while maintaining a growing retail footprint through 3,000+ outlets across India.
Studds Accessories Strengthens Margins to 17.9% and Boosts ROCE to 20.25%
Financially, the company has maintained steady growth. Its EBITDA margin improved from 11.7% in FY2023 to 17.9% in FY2025, while ROCE rose from 11.7% to 20.25% in the same period. The firm remains virtually debt-free, with a debt-to-equity ratio of –0.07, and posted a net profit of ₹69.64 crore in FY2025, a 22% year-on-year rise on revenue of ₹595.89 crore. These figures underscore efficient cost management and a disciplined balance sheet structure.
Studds Accessories Faces Risks from OEM Dependence and Geographic Concentration
Despite its leadership, Studds faces challenges that could affect long-term scalability. All its manufacturing plants are located in Faridabad, exposing the company to potential regional disruptions. Furthermore, a significant portion of revenue stems from OEM collaborations, which could be impacted by fluctuations in two-wheeler production or changes in OEM policies. However, the company’s strong retail and export base provides diversification to balance these risks.
Helmet Demand Surge and Smart Tech Integration Offer Growth Avenues for Studds
India’s rising road safety awareness, stricter traffic laws, and a growing two-wheeler population are driving helmet demand. Yet, penetration levels remain below 60%, leaving substantial room for expansion. Studds is also tapping into premiumisation trends, with its SMK line introducing Bluetooth-enabled and aerodynamic helmets. Moreover, its R&D team of 75 engineers is developing IoT-based safety gear, aligning with global trends in smart wearables. The company’s presence in over 70 export markets positions it to benefit from increasing global demand for certified safety products.

The upcoming issue, backed by solid fundamentals and a dominant market presence, is anticipated to draw significant attention across retail and institutional categories.
The Studds Accessories IPO 2025 marks a major event in India’s protective gear industry, reflecting both growing safety awareness and manufacturing capability. With consistent earnings, minimal debt, and innovation in smart helmets, the company demonstrates operational stability and expansion potential. Stakeholders may watch this listing closely as an indicator of investor appetite for niche yet scalable manufacturing businesses.
