Mumbai, July 23:Shree Balaji (Mala) Textiles IPO continued to attract healthy investor interest on the second day of bidding, with the public issue subscribed 4.95 times in early trade. The SME IPO has seen strong participation from retail investors and non-institutional investors (NIIs), while qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) are yet to place bids in the non-anchor portion.
The three-day public issue, which opened on July 22, will remain open for subscription until July 24. With another full day of bidding still left after today, subscription figures are expected to rise further.
Retail Investors Continue To Lead The Subscription
Retail participation remained the biggest driver of the IPO on Day 2. As of 10:24 AM, the Individual Investors category was subscribed 8.42 times, reflecting continued interest from small investors.
The NII portion was subscribed 3.40 times, with the sNII category receiving 4.29 times subscription and the bNII segment subscribed 2.95 times. Meanwhile, the QIB (Ex Anchor) category had not received bids at the time of the update.
Overall, investors had bid for 89.06 lakh shares against 18 lakh shares on offer, taking the total subscription to 4.95 times.

The IPO has a price band of ₹66 to ₹70 per share, with the final issue price to be discovered through the book-building process.
Retail investors can apply for a minimum of 4,000 shares, requiring an investment of ₹2,80,000 at the upper price band. The minimum application size for S-HNI investors is 6,000 shares, amounting to ₹4,20,000.
