Slow Start for TruAlt Bioenergy IPO as Day 1 Sees Limited Bidding

Bengaluru, September 25, 2025: TruAlt Bioenergy Limited’s ₹839 crore IPO saw muted demand on its first day of bidding today, September 25, 2025. As of 4:50 PM, the issue was subscribed overall 0.46 times, receiving bids for 54,68,940 shares, against 1,18,44,679 shares on offer.
TruAlt Bioenergy Limited is an Indian company that produces ethanol and other biofuels. The company was established in 2014 and is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Muted Demand Led By QIBs
The issue saw muted demand as subscription was led by QIBs at 0.89 times, bidding for 30,28,289 shares, against 33,84,195 shares on offer. QIBs were followed by retail investors at 0.31 times, bidding for 18,17,160 shares, against 59,22,339 shares on offer. NIIs subscribed 0.25 times, bidding for 6,23,490 shares, against 25,38,145 shares on offer.
Raised ₹251.79 Crore From Anchor Investors
Ahead of the IPO, the company raised ₹251.79 crore from anchor investors by allocating 50,76,289 shares at ₹496 per share. Key investors included Tata Mutual Fund, HDFC Trustee, Invesco India, Bandhan AMC, SBI General Insurance, Edelweiss, Société Générale, and Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius.
