Spencers Retail Q1 Net Loss Narrows to Rs 60.44 Cr, Revenue Up 12.9%

New Delhi: Spencers Retail Ltd on Thursday said its consolidated net loss narrowed slightly to Rs 60.44 crore for the June quarter of FY27.

The company had registered a net loss of Rs 61.61 crore in the January-March period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by RP Sanjiv Goenka firm Spencers Retail.

Its revenue from operations increased 12.9 per cent to Rs 469.47 crore in the June quarter under review. It was Rs 415.83 crore in the year-ago period.

Total expenses of Spencer’s Retail grew 8.76 per cent to Rs 531.78 crore in the June quarter.

Spencer’s Retail total income, which includes other income, climbed 10.3 per cent to Rs 471.28 crore in the first quarter of FY27.

“Spencer’s Retail delivered a strong sales-led performance in Q1, driven across both the online and offline business segments. This marks the second consecutive quarter of growth and is both encouraging and a validation of our strategy focused on driving a higher level of effectiveness (same store growth, sales per sq ft) and executing these with improved efficiencies (lower operating expenses),” Chairman Shashwat Goenka said.

Share of Spencer’s Retail Ltd on Thursday settled at Rs 31.9 apiece on BSE, up 0.09 per cent from the previous close.
