Mumbai, Sept 30: Here are five stocks in focus on Wednesday, from a $12.40 million Dangote export order for KSB to a ₹16.49 crore cable order for Prime Cable Industries to a first-ever ₹150 crore buyback for Transport Corporation of India to a capacity expansion at Ramco Cements to a 1,080 MW power joint venture for NLC India. Here’s what to track through the session.
KSB (KSB)
KSB has received a $12.40 million (around ₹118 crore) export order from Dangote Projects Free Zone Enterprise for the supply of 18 boiler feed pump packages. The order is scheduled for execution between September 2027 and March 2028, with payment linked to installation. The company said the order reinforces its capabilities in delivering high-efficiency, engineered pumping solutions for critical process applications and strengthens its presence in the international fertilizer and energy sectors. KSB manufactures pumps and valves for the agricultural, wastewater treatment, energy, oil and gas, and other industrial sectors, and this export win adds to its existing order book of over ₹2,700 crore as of June 2026, building on a track record of large domestic contracts with clients such as L&T and NPCIL.
Prime Cable Industries (PRIMECAB)
The company has received a ₹16.49 crore purchase order, inclusive of GST, from a reputed Indian listed company for the supply of 11 kV medium-voltage cables. Prime Cable Industries manufactures power, control, instrumentation and aerial bunch cables, and has been expanding its high-voltage capabilities up to 33 kV grade. The company’s market capitalisation stands at around ₹343 crore. The order adds to a string of recent contract wins for the cable maker, which reported a sharp rise in revenue in FY26 on the back of an expanding order book, and caters largely to EPC players, state electricity boards, PSUs and major industrial clients.
Transport Corporation of India (TCI)
The board has approved the company’s first-ever share buyback, of up to 15.62 lakh equity shares at ₹960 per share, for an amount not exceeding ₹150 crore. The buyback price represents a 10.6 per cent premium to Tuesday’s closing price and will be carried out through the tender offer route, open to all eligible shareholders except promoters, with the record date set for October 9. The proposed buyback represents about 2.03 per cent of the company’s paid-up equity capital. TCI is one of India’s leading integrated supply chain and logistics providers, and the board also cleared a wholly owned subsidiary in China with an investment of up to $2 million, aimed at building an integrated India-China-Far East logistics corridor.
Ramco Cements (RAMCOCEM)
The company has completed de-bottlenecking activities at its Jayanthipuram works in NTR, Andhra Pradesh, enhancing clinkerisation capacity from 4.61 MTPA to 5.62 MTPA and cement grinding capacity from 3.65 MTPA to 4.38 MTPA. With this low-capex upgrade, Ramco Cements‘ aggregate clinkerisation capacity now stands at 16.95 MTPA, while its cement grinding capacity stands at 27.17 MTPA. The expansion is part of the company’s plan to reach a total cement capacity of 31.14 MTPA by the end of FY27, achieved without any major greenfield capital expenditure. Similar de-bottlenecking has already been carried out at the company’s Ariyalur plant in Tamil Nadu earlier this year.
NLC India (NLCINDIA)
The company has announced the incorporation of a joint venture company with National Aluminium Company (NALCO), with equal equity participation, to develop a 1,080 MW (4 x 270 MW) thermal captive power plant in phases at Angul, Odisha, to meet NALCO’s captive power requirements and explore options for long-term PPAs for its renewable energy requirements. The joint venture, provisionally named NLC NALCO Power Limited, will supply power to NALCO under a 25-year power purchase agreement. NLC India, formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation, brings decades of experience in lignite and coal mining and thermal power generation to the venture, including fuel assurance from its nearby Machhakata coal mine in Odisha.
