Sumax Engineering IPO: What Investors Should Watch

The subscription numbers show a clear divergence between investor categories. Retail participation is currently driving the issue, with the category already more than 20 times subscribed, while NII demand has also built up strongly.

The QIB portion, however, was still showing 0.00 times subscription in the 10:35 AM update. Since the IPO remains open until August 28, these figures are not final and can change materially before bidding closes.

Investors should also look beyond subscription multiples before making an IPO decision. The company’s business performance, valuation, financial track record, use of IPO proceeds, promoter holding and the risks associated with SME-listed stocks are all relevant when assessing the issue.
