Sumax Engineering IPO Subscription Day 4: Issue Subscribed 28.35 Times

The Sumax Engineering IPO is seeing strong demand on its final day of bidding. By 10:29 AM on August 28, the ₹53.40 crore issue was subscribed 28.35 times overall. Retail investors had bid 45.22 times their reserved quota, while NII and QIB subscription stood at 31.34 times and 2.22 times, respectively. The IPO closes today.

Mumbai, August 28: The Sumax Engineering IPO is heading into the final stretch of its subscription period with investor interest remaining strong. The ₹53.40 crore issue had been subscribed 28.35 times by 10:29 AM on August 28, according to the latest available data.
The IPO opened on August 25 and is scheduled to close today, August 28, 2026. Investors therefore have only the remaining part of the final bidding session to place their applications.
The issue has a price band of ₹95 to ₹101 per share and comprises both a fresh issue and an offer for sale.
Sumax Engineering IPO Subscription Status
Retail investors have been the most active category so far. Their portion was subscribed 45.22 times, with bids received for 7,65,12,000 shares against 16,92,000 shares offered.
The NII category was subscribed 31.34 times, receiving bids for 2,27,90,400 shares against 7,27,200 shares available.
Within the NII segment, the bNII portion was subscribed 30.58 times, while the sNII portion reached 32.87 times.
The QIB (Ex-Anchor) category was subscribed 2.22 times, with bids for 21,60,000 shares against 9,74,400 shares on offer.
Overall, investors had placed bids for 10,16,60,400 shares against 35,85,600 shares available for subscription. The issue had received 35,237 applications by the latest update.

Day-wise Subscription Details
Sumax Engineering IPO has seen demand build quickly since opening. The overall subscription stood at 3.24 times on Day 1, moved to 9.63 times on Day 2 and reached 20.80 times on Day 3.
The final day has brought another jump, taking the overall subscription to 28.35 times as of the latest update.

The QIB portion moved above full subscription on Day 3 and held at 2.22 times on the final day so far. Retail participation has remained particularly strong, rising from 5.77 times on Day 1 to 45.22 times in the latest Day 4 update.
Sumax Engineering IPO Details
Sumax Engineering is raising around ₹53.40 crore through the IPO. The issue consists of a fresh issue of 40,24,800 shares worth around ₹41 crore and an offer for sale of 9,96,000 shares aggregating to around ₹10 crore.
The IPO price band is ₹95 to ₹101 per share, with the issue price fixed at ₹101 per share. The lot size is 1,200 shares, so a retail investor applying at the upper price needs ₹1,21,200 for one lot.
The IPO is a bookbuilding issue and is proposed to list on the NSE SME platform.
Sumax Engineering IPO Issue Reservation
The public issue has 24,09,600 shares allocated to QIBs, 7,27,200 shares to NIIs and 16,92,000 shares to retail investors.
The QIB allocation accounts for 49.90% of the issue, while NIIs have 15.06% and retail investors 35.04%. A separate reservation of 2,66,400 shares has been made for the market maker.
Sumax Engineering IPO Important Dates
The Sumax Engineering IPO opened on August 25 and will close on August 28, 2026.
The tentative allotment is expected on August 31, while refunds are scheduled for September 1. Shares are expected to be credited to successful applicants on September 1, with the tentative listing date set for September 2, 2026.
About Sumax Engineering Ltd.
Sumax Engineering Ltd., incorporated in 1994, operates in the manufacturing and trading of products used in the Automotive OEM and Auto Refinish markets.
Its manufacturing portfolio includes adhesive tapes and die-cuts, pre-taped masking films, rubbing and polishing compounds, buffing and foam pads, reflective tapes, domes and graphics, and car-care products.
The company also supplies electrical and pneumatic tools, abrasive sheets, discs and rolls, body-shop consumables, retail products, accessories and aerosol products through its trading business.
Sumax Engineering operates manufacturing units in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, and IMT Manesar, Haryana. The company also has a presence across 26 states and Union Territories and exports to markets including Thailand, South Korea, Russia, Turkey, China, Vietnam, the US, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan.
