Sunita Tools has received the first advance payment under its interim sales agreement for supplying NATO-specification 155mm M107 empty shells, with the remaining instalments expected shortly.

Mumbai July, 20: Sunita Tools Ltd. has received the first tranche of advance payment from its customer under the interim sales agreement for the supply of NATO-specification and standard 155mm M107 empty artillery shells, the company said in an exchange filing.
According to the company, the advance has been credited to its bank account, marking the commencement of the payment schedule for the defence order. Sunita Tools added that the second and third advance instalments are expected to follow shortly, in line with the agreed payment structure.
The company described the receipt as an important milestone in executing the defence contract. While it did not disclose the value of the advance payment, the update indicates that the order has progressed beyond the agreement stage into financial execution.
In its press release, Chairman and Whole-Time Director Sanjay Pandey said receiving the first advance payment reflects progress on the NATO-standard shell programme and expressed confidence that the remaining advance instalments would be received in due course.
Sunita Tools Share Price Remains Largely Unchanged
Sunita Tools share price showed little movement following the announcement, reflecting a wait-and-watch approach from investors.
As of 11:35 AM IST on July 20, 2026, the stock was trading at ₹850.20, broadly unchanged from earlier levels. Trading activity remained thin during the morning, with the stock largely holding around the same price even after the company disclosed the receipt of the first advance payment.
The muted reaction suggests investors may be looking for further milestones, including subsequent advance payments and execution updates, before reassessing the earnings impact of the order.
