Mumbai, August 20: Sunshine Pictures IPO closed for subscription on Thursday after three days of bidding, with the ₹282.14 crore issue drawing strong demand from all three major investor categories. The subscription data was recorded as of 5:00 PM on the final day. 

The IPO comprised a fresh issue of 48,00,034 shares worth ₹172.80 crore and an offer for sale of 30,37,157 shares worth ₹109.34 crore. The price band was fixed at ₹342 to ₹360 per share, while the minimum retail application was for 41 shares.

By 5:00 PM on August 20, the issue had received bids for 45,07,01,766 shares against 54,86,051 shares offered to investors.

The NII portion recorded the highest demand among the three categories. QIB participation was also substantial, while the retail portion saw sizeable bidding through the final day.

The NII portion saw particularly strong participation across both of its sub-categories. Bids above ₹10 lakh accounted for the higher subscription within the NII segment, while the ₹2 lakh to ₹10 lakh category also recorded significant demand.

Brief Overview Of The IPO 

Sunshine Pictures IPO is a ₹282.14 crore book-built issue comprising 78,37,191 shares. The issue consists of a fresh issue of 48,00,034 shares and an offer for sale of 30,37,157 shares. 

The price band was fixed at ₹342 to ₹360 per share, with a lot size of 41 shares. At the upper end of the price band, a retail investor needed ₹14,760 for one lot. 

Sunshine Pictures Limited, incorporated in 2007, operates in the entertainment and content production business. The company is involved in originating, developing, producing, marketing and distributing films, television serials and web series. 

Its production portfolio includes films such as Force, Commando, Holiday, Force 2, Commando 2 and The Kerala Story. The company has produced or co-produced ten commercial films, along with two web series, two television serials and a short film. 

The company works on both standalone productions and co-productions with established studios. It is also currently involved in film and web-series projects, including co-production work with Jio Studios and a web-series project for Doordarshan. 

GYR Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd. is the book-running lead manager, while Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. is the registrar to the issue. 

With the bidding period now over, attention shifts to the allotment process. The basis of allotment is scheduled for August 21, followed by the initiation of refunds and credit of shares on August 24. The shares are scheduled to make their market debut on August 25, 2026.
