Mumbai, August 20: The Sunshine Pictures IPO saw a sharp increase in bidding as the issue entered its final day. As of 10:08 AM on August 20, 2026, the IPO had been subscribed 20.81 times overall. 

The non-institutional investor (NII) portion was the most heavily subscribed at 42.87 times, while the retail category was subscribed 23.15 times. The qualified institutional buyer (QIB) portion, excluding the anchor allocation, stood at 0.16 times at the latest update. 

The ₹282.14 crore IPO opened for subscription on August 18 and is scheduled to close today, August 20. The issue comprises a fresh issue worth ₹172.80 crore and an offer for sale of ₹109.34 crore.

The issue had received 13,76,027 applications by the time of the update. The total subscription calculation does not include the portion already allotted to anchor investors. 

Category-wise Sunshine Pictures IPO Subscription 

The NII segment continued to account for the strongest demand in the issue. Its overall subscription stood at 42.87 times, with the sNII portion receiving bids worth 55.05 times the shares available. 

The bNII category was subscribed 36.77 times. Retail investors also showed considerable participation, with their portion subscribed 23.15 times. 

The QIB portion available after excluding the anchor allocation remained below full subscription at 0.16 times.

Sunshine Pictures IPO is a bookbuilding issue of ₹282.14 crore. The issue includes a fresh issue of 48,00,034 shares, aggregating to ₹172.80 crore, and an offer for sale of 30,37,157 shares, aggregating to ₹109.34 crore at the upper end of the price band. 

The price band has been fixed at ₹342 to ₹360 per share, while the lot size is 41 shares. At the upper price of ₹360, a retail investor needs ₹14,760 to apply for one lot.

Conclusion 

The Sunshine Pictures IPO has seen a substantial rise in subscription through the three-day bidding period, with the overall issue subscribed 20.81 times as of 10:08 AM on August 20. NII investors remained the most active category, while retail participation also crossed 23 times. 

With bidding scheduled to close today, investors who have already applied will next look towards the basis of allotment, which is scheduled for August 21. Refunds and credit of shares are expected on August 24, followed by the tentative listing on August 25 on the BSE and NSE.
