Tempsens Instruments (India) IPO drew strong Day 1 demand, reaching 5.95x subscription by 5:06 PM, led by NII at 12.51x and retail at 6.48x.

Mumbai, August 20: Tempsens Instruments (India) IPO saw brisk bidding on the opening day, with the ₹650 crore issue subscribed 5.95 times as of 5:06 PM on August 20, 2026. The response was driven mainly by non-institutional investors and retail bidders, while the qualified institutional buyers category was yet to see significant participation at the reported time.
The IPO opened for subscription on August 20 and will remain open until August 24, 2026. The issue comprises a fresh issue of 31,66,666 shares worth up to ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1,85,00,000 shares aggregating up to ₹555 crore.
The price band has been fixed at ₹285 to ₹300 per share, with a lot size of 50 shares.

By 5:06 PM on the opening day, investors had bid for 9,03,05,700 shares against 1,51,81,668 shares reserved for public subscription. The overall issue was therefore subscribed 5.95 times.
The NII portion saw the strongest response among the main investor categories, with subscription reaching 12.51 times. Retail investors bid for 6.48 times the shares reserved for them. The employee portion was subscribed 9.43 times, while the QIB portion, excluding the anchor allocation, stood at 0.05 times.

Brief Overview Of The IPO
Tempsens Instruments (India) IPO is a ₹650 crore book-built issue consisting of a fresh issue of 31,66,666 shares worth up to ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1,85,00,000 shares worth up to ₹555 crore.
The company has fixed the IPO price band at ₹285 to ₹300 per share. Investors can bid for a minimum of 50 shares in one lot, making the minimum retail investment ₹15,000 at the upper price band.
Tempsens Instruments (India) was incorporated in 1990 and operates in the thermal engineering and specialised cable segment. The company designs and manufactures customised temperature sensing solutions, electrical heating solutions and specialised cables. Its product portfolio includes contact and non-contact temperature sensors, industrial heating solutions and specialised cables.
The company serves customers across several industries and has also built an overseas presence. According to the company information provided for the IPO, it served more than 1,000 unique customers between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2026, while its products were exported to more than 80 countries.
ICICI Securities Ltd. is the book-running lead manager for the IPO and Kfin Technologies Ltd. is the registrar.
With the first day now complete, the IPO has received bids several times over the shares available for public subscription. The issue will continue to accept bids through August 24, after which the allotment process is scheduled to begin on August 25. The shares are scheduled to be credited on August 27 and listed on August 28, 2026.
