The ₹650 crore issue was subscribed 38.74 times as of 10:44 AM on August 24, with the NII category leading the pack at 116.24 times. Retail investors subscribed 25.68 times, while QIB demand stood at 3.42 times. The IPO closes today.

Mumbai, August 24: The Tempsens Instruments (India) IPO has entered its final day with demand running far ahead of the shares on offer. The ₹650 crore issue was subscribed 38.74 times as of 10:44 AM on August 24, with non-institutional investors emerging as the biggest contributors to the subscription tally.

The issue had received bids for 58,81,72,450 shares against 1,51,81,668 shares available for public subscription. At the upper end of the price band, the total value of bids stood at around ₹17,645.17 crore. The IPO had attracted 30,81,755 applications by the latest update.

The NII category has seen the strongest response so far, with the segment subscribed 116.24 times. Within the category, bNII investors have bid aggressively, taking their portion to 118.59 times, while the sNII portion was subscribed 111.52 times.

Retail investors have also put up a strong showing. Their portion was subscribed 25.68 times, with bids for 19,43,21,700 shares against 75,65,833 shares reserved for the category.

The QIB portion, excluding anchor investors, has been subscribed 3.42 times. Employee participation has also been notable, with the reserved portion subscribed 43.25 times.

Tempsens Instruments (India) is a ₹650 crore bookbuilding issue comprising a fresh issue of 31,66,666 shares aggregating up to ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1,85,00,000 shares worth up to ₹555 crore. The price band has been fixed at ₹285 to ₹300 per share.

The NII category is clearly driving the subscription numbers. Investors in this segment have placed bids for 37,68,93,700 shares, compared with 32,42,500 shares available to them.

Retail participation has also remained strong, with bids for 19,43,21,700 shares against an allocation of 75,65,833 shares.

QIB demand, while considerably lower than the NII and retail numbers, has also comfortably crossed the full-subscription mark at 3.42 times.

The employee portion has been subscribed 43.25 times, adding another strong layer to the overall demand.

With the issue closing today, the remaining bidding hours could still push the final subscription figure higher.

Day-Wise Subscription Trend

Tempsens Instruments IPO has built momentum rapidly since opening. The overall subscription stood at 5.95 times on Day 1, climbed to 21.69 times on Day 2, and then surged to 38.74 times by the morning of Day 3.

The IPO got off to a surprisingly strong start, with the overall issue already 5.95 times subscribed on Day 1. NII demand was particularly strong from the beginning, while QIB participation was initially limited at 0.05 times.

Day 2 brought another major jump. The overall subscription moved to 21.69 times, while NII demand climbed to 52.98 times and retail subscription reached 18.73 times.

The final day has taken the numbers to another level. NII subscription has crossed the 100-times mark, while retail demand has moved beyond 25 times. QIB participation has also strengthened from 0.05 times on Day 1 to 3.42 times.
