Tempsens Instruments IPO saw a sharp jump in demand on Day 2, with the ₹650 crore issue getting subscribed 21.69 times overall. NII bids led the response at 52.98x, while retail investors subscribed 18.73 times. The IPO remains open for subscription until August 24.

Mumbai, August 21: The Tempsens Instruments IPO picked up serious pace on its second day of bidding. By the end of Thursday, August 21, the ₹650 crore issue had been subscribed 21.69 times, with demand pouring in across all major investor categories.

The IPO opened on August 20 and will remain open until August 24, 2026. So, despite the strong response so far, the issue is still open for subscription and investors can continue placing bids on the final day.

The biggest chunk of demand came from non-institutional investors. The NII portion was subscribed 52.98 times, while retail investors put in bids for 18.73 times the shares reserved for them. The QIB portion, excluding the anchor allocation, was subscribed 3.31 times.

The NII segment clearly stood out. Applications from the smaller NII category, or investors bidding below ₹10 lakh, reached 68.97 times the shares available. The larger NII category was subscribed 44.99 times.

Retail participation was also strong, with bids for 14,17,42,050 shares against 75,65,833 shares on offer.

Overall, investors bid for 32,93,06,750 shares, compared with 1,51,81,668 shares available across the relevant public categories. The total number of applications stood at 22,10,879.

Tempsens Instruments IPO Details

Tempsens Instruments is looking to raise ₹650 crore through the IPO. The issue includes a fresh issue of 31,66,666 shares worth ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1.85 crore shares worth ₹555 crore.

The company has fixed the IPO price band at ₹285 to ₹300 per share. With a lot size of 50 shares, a retail investor needs ₹15,000 at the upper end of the price band to apply for one lot.

The IPO is scheduled to close on August 24.

Tempsens Instruments IPO Timeline

The bidding period began on August 20, while the tentative allotment date is August 25. Refunds are expected to be processed on August 27, with shares likely to be credited to successful applicants on the same day.

The company is scheduled to make its stock market debut on August 28, 2026, on both the BSE and NSE.

Tempsens Instruments IPO Reservation

The IPO has reserved 50% of the net issue for QIBs, 15% for NIIs and 35% for retail investors. A separate 50,000-share reservation has been kept for eligible employees.

Before the IPO opened for the public, Tempsens Instruments raised around ₹194.55 crore from anchor investors on August 19.

Tempsens Instruments (India) operates in the temperature measurement and industrial engineering space. The company designs and manufactures temperature sensing solutions, electrical heating products and specialised cables.

Its products include both contact and non-contact temperature sensors, with applications across different industrial markets. The company says it has served more than 1,000 customers between April 2023 and March 2026 and exports its products to more than 80 countries.

With the IPO already subscribed more than 21 times by the end of Day 2, the final day of bidding on August 24 will be the key one to watch, particularly for how much further NII and retail demand climbs.
