Mumbai, August 20: The Tempsons Instruments (India) IPO opened for subscription on August 20, 2026, with the ₹650 crore issue receiving bids across retail, non-institutional and employee categories in the opening session. The IPO has a price band of ₹285 to ₹300 per share and will remain open until August 24.

As of 10:23:24 AM on August 20, the issue had received bids for 99,26,250 shares against 1,51,81,668 shares offered for subscription. The overall subscription stood at 0.65 times.

The NII category saw the strongest response among the investor segments, with subscription reaching 1.33 times. Retail investors had subscribed 0.74 times of the shares reserved for them, while the employee portion stood at 0.70 times.

The NII segment moved past the full-subscription mark during the opening session. Within the category, the portion reserved for bids of up to ₹10 lakh was subscribed 2.31 times, while the NII segment for bids above ₹10 lakh stood at 0.84 times.

The QIB portion was yet to see significant demand in the early session. It had received bids for 17,450 shares against 43,23,335 shares offered, translating to 0.00 times subscription when rounded to two decimal places.

Tempsons Instruments (India) IPO is a ₹650 crore book-built issue comprising a fresh issue of 31,66,666 shares aggregating to ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1.85 crore shares worth ₹555 crore at the upper end of the price band.

The price band has been fixed at ₹285 to ₹300 per share, with a lot size of 50 shares. At the upper price of ₹300, the minimum investment required for a retail investor is ₹15,000.

The IPO opened on August 20 and will close on August 24, 2026. The basis of allotment is scheduled for August 25, followed by the initiation of refunds and credit of shares on August 27. The shares are scheduled to list on the BSE and NSE on August 28.

ICICI Securities Ltd. is the book-running lead manager for the issue, while Kfin Technologies Ltd. is the registrar.
