Thermax Share Price Falls 4.30% After Weak Q2FY26 Financial Performance

Pune, November 12: Thermax’s share price is witnessing negative investor demand today after it reported a weak financial result for the quarter ended September 30. As of 2:10 PM, Thermax’s share price was down by 4.30%, or 136.20 points, and was trading at ₹3,031.55. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹3,128.30 and ₹2,986. The traded volume stood at 4.35 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹37,745 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹5,335 and their 52-week low at ₹2,950.05.
Thermax Limited (NSE: THERMAX | BSE: 500411) is an Indian multinational engineering company that provides sustainable solutions in energy and the environment. Its business portfolio includes products for heating, cooling, water and waste management, and specialty chemicals. The company was established in 1966 and is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra.
Shares Slip After Weak Q2FY26 Financial Results
In Q2 FY26, the company recorded order bookings of ₹3,551 crore, up from ₹3,353 crore in Q2 FY25, reflecting a 6% year-on-year increase. The order balance also grew to ₹12,300 crore compared to ₹11,593 crore last year. However, revenue declined to ₹2,474 crore from ₹2,616 crore, marking a 5.4% drop YoY. Profit Before Tax (PBT) fell to ₹174 crore from ₹266 crore, with the PBT margin declining to 7.0% versus 10.2% in Q2 FY25. Profit After Tax (PAT) declined to ₹119 crore from ₹198 crore, resulting in a PAT margin drop to 4.8% from 7.6%.
In Q2 FY26, the company’s Industrial Products segment contributed the highest to its revenue at ₹1,189 crore with a PBIT of ₹117 crore. The Industrial Infra segment reported revenue of ₹949 crore, but incurred a loss of ₹15 crore. The Chemicals segment generated revenue of ₹191 crore and PBIT of ₹19 crore. Lastly, the Green Solutions segment posted revenue of ₹192 crore and PBIT of ₹12 crore.
