Mumbai, October 27, 2025: The share price of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd (NSE: THYROCARE) gained 2.52%, reaching ₹1,298.00 during trade on Monday, after there was a significant stake sale by its promoter entity, Docon Technologies, and fresh institutional buying by leading domestic mutual funds.

Thyrocare Technologies Ltd is a leading diagnostic and preventive healthcare services provider. The company was founded in 1996 and offers pathology and wellness tests through its central laboratory and nationwide collection network. The company is part of the NIFTY Total Market Index and has been listed on both NSE and BSE since May 2016 under the tickers THYROCARE and 539871, respectively.

Major Stake Sale and Fund Inflow

Docon Technologies held 71.06% in Thyrocare as of September 2025. The company offloaded 53.3 lakh shares, which represented 10.06% of the company’s paid-up equity. The shares changed hands at an average price of ₹1,252.03 per share, aggregating to ₹667.7 crore.

The shares were picked up by a consortium of large institutional investors, including ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, which acquired 3.3% (17.5 lakh shares at ₹1,252 per share), totaling ₹219.1 crores. Following this transaction, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund’s total stake in the company rose to 5.5%, as it already held a 2.2% stake through its Pharma Healthcare and Diagnostics (P.H.D.) Fund.

Other key investors included HSBC Midcap Fund, which acquired a 1.6% stake (8.6 lakh shares at ₹1,252 each) worth ₹107.7 crore; HDFC Mutual Fund, which picked up a 1.2% stake (6.5 lakh shares) valued at ₹81.5 crore; Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, which secured a 1.0% stake (5.3 lakh shares) worth ₹66.4 crore; and Eastspring Investments India Consumer Equity Open, which purchased a 0.8% stake (4.2 lakh shares) for ₹52.5 crore.

Stock Performance

As of October 27, 2025, 12:26 pm, shares of Thyrocare Technologies Limited were trading at ₹1,285.90, up by 1.56%, or ₹19.80. The company’s stock had a moderately active trading day, with total traded volume and traded value standing at 4.05 lakh shares and ₹52.06 crore, respectively. The total market capitalization for the company stood at ₹6,816.68 crore.
