Titan shares up by more than 4%, as Indian markets open in green

Indian equity markets have started the day today, 8^th October, 2025 in green. At 9:40 a.m. 8^th October, 2025, Nifty 50 is up by 70.65 points or 0.28%. Sensex is up by 267.88 points or 0.33%.

Titan’s shares up by more than 4%

Top three gainers at Nifty 50 at this time are Titan, Infosys and TCS. Top three losers are Bajaj-Auto, Sun Pharma and Power Grid. IT shares are gaining today. This, as these companies will start reporting their September quarter results soon. TCS will come out with its result tomorrow, 9^th October. Titan’s shares are up by 4.11% at this time, trading at Rs 3,558.70. This, after the company reported that its domestic jewelry business grew year-on-year by 19% in the September quarter. Diwali season is at its start and Titan may see further jump in its sales. The Diwali season will be followed by the November wedding season.

Nifty IT Index up by 1.85%

All the broad market indices are in green at this time. Among sectoral indices, Nifty IT index is the top gainer at this time. It is up by 1.85%. Nifty Realty index is the top loser at this time. It is down by 0.39%. Realty stocks may be seeing some profit booking today, after the gains of yesterday.
