Top Gainers And Losers as of 3:55 PM IST: TCS, Tech Mahindra Lead; ICICI Bank, Shriram Finance Fall 

Mumbai August, 28: Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Tech Mahindra Limited and Infosys Limited led the gainers in the supplied market snapshot as of 3:55 PM IST, with gains of 4.16%, 3.53% and 2.99%, respectively. 

TCS rose to ₹2,342.00, while Tech Mahindra and Infosys traded at ₹1,640.90 and ₹1,144.00. HCL Technologies and Wipro also posted gains of more than 2%. 

Top Gainers 

ICICI Bank, Shriram Finance and ITC Lead the Losers 

The selling was concentrated among several large-cap counters. ICICI Bank Limited fell 1.40% to ₹1,422.80, followed by Shriram Finance Limited, which declined 1.28% to ₹1,086.90.

ITC Limited and UltraTech Cement also ended lower by more than 1%, while Asian Paints and SBI Life Insurance recorded smaller declines. 

Top Losers 

IT Stocks Drive the Positive Side 

The gainers list was notably led by technology stocks. TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL Technologies and Wipro all moved higher, giving the positive side a strong IT-sector presence. 

The TCS share price gained 4.16% from its previous close of ₹2,248.40, while Tech Mahindra advanced from ₹1,585.00 to ₹1,640.90. Infosys also moved above its previous close of ₹1,110.80.

Conclusion 

The market snapshot as of August 28, 2026, 3:55 PM IST showed a clear leadership group among technology stocks, with TCS posting the strongest gain at 4.16%. Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL Technologies and Wipro also recorded notable advances.
