Mumbai, October 13: PC Jeweller, Vodafone Idea, Moneyview and Suzlon Energy were the most traded stocks on the NSE on Tuesday, with all four trading lower. PC Jeweller led the declines, falling 6.07%, while Moneyview slipped 1.22%. Suzlon Energy was down 0.30%, and Vodafone Idea edged 0.08% lower. The stocks saw activity amid company-specific developments, including PC Jeweller’s improving financial position, Vodafone Idea’s network performance and enterprise push, Moneyview’s post-listing rally, and Suzlon’s bullish brokerage outlook.

PC Jeweller Limited (down 6.07%)

PC Jeweller shares declined on Tuesday after ending Monday’s session nearly unchanged, despite a series of positive business updates. The jewellery retailer reported a 28% year-on-year rise in consolidated revenue for the September quarter last week, pointing to resilient consumer demand.

The company also recovered around Rs 142 crore from outstanding export receivables during the quarter. PC Jeweller said these were the initial recoveries following negotiations and the resolution of the matter.

The company recently announced that it had repaid all outstanding bank borrowings ahead of schedule, making it debt-free. The move is expected to lower interest costs and improve its financial position.

The latest developments follow a strong June quarter, when PC Jeweller’s consolidated net profit climbed 37.2% year-on-year to Rs 222 crore, while revenue from operations rose 21% to Rs 877 crore. The company also completed a Rs 500-crore preferential share issue in September, strengthening its capital base.

Vodafone Idea Limited (down 0.08%)

Vodafone Idea shares remained flat on Tuesday despite a Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) report finding that the telecom operator outperformed Reliance Jio on several voice-quality and network-coverage parameters in New Delhi and Central Delhi. The August drive test recorded 11 instances of call silence lasting over three seconds for Vi, against 46 for Jio, while Vi also reported fewer poor-signal samples. However, Jio led on download speeds, averaging 287.91 Mbps compared with Vi’s 39.57 Mbps.

Vodafone Idea shares declined on Monday after rising in the previous session on news of a multi-year private network contract between its enterprise division, Vi Business, and Hindalco Industries. The agreement involves setting up a dedicated network at Hindalco’s Baphlimali bauxite mine in Odisha, as the telecom operator looks to expand its enterprise services beyond consumer mobility.

The network will be deployed at the mine in Rayagada district, marking Hindalco’s first such installation. Vodafone Idea will provide an end-to-end solution covering spectrum, core network infrastructure, radio access network (RAN) and managed services.

Hindalco plans to use the infrastructure for worker safety, fleet management, drone and CCTV surveillance, real-time monitoring and improved operational efficiency. An Integrated Command and Control Centre will provide centralised oversight of mining activities, supporting faster responses and data-led decisions.

The contract underscores the potential for Vodafone Idea to tap industrial demand for secure, reliable connectivity supporting automation, connected equipment and real-time data transmission. Enterprise services could offer an additional revenue stream as the telecom operator seeks to strengthen its financial position.

Moneyview Limited (down 1.22%)

Moneyview shares declined on Tuesday after ending the previous session nearly unchanged, even as the stock extended its gains to nearly 22% over a week following its strong debut on the stock market.

The digital financial services company listed on the NSE on October 1 at Rs 55 per share, a premium of 61.76% over its IPO price of Rs 34. The debut followed an overwhelming response to its Rs 1,092-crore initial public offering, which attracted subscriptions of 98.46 times during the September 24-28 bidding period.

The strong demand reflected investor interest in Moneyview’s digital lending platform and growth prospects. Backed by Accel, the company connects borrowers with financial partners and offers products including personal loans, loans against property, secured lending, credit tracking, UPI and digital gold.

The stock’s steep listing premium and subsequent rally highlight investor enthusiasm for Moneyview’s digital-first business model. Sustaining the gains, however, will depend on the company’s ability to expand its customer base, diversify its offerings and translate business growth into stronger earnings and financial performance.

Suzlon Energy Limited (down 0.30%)

Suzlon Energy shares declined on Tuesday after rising in the previous session on a bullish outlook from a domestic brokerage. The brokerage has maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on the renewable energy stock with a target price of Rs 65, implying an upside potential of 73% from the levels cited in its report.

Motilal Oswal expects Suzlon’s earnings momentum to strengthen in the second half of FY27, supported by higher deliveries and its 5.9 GW order book at the end of the June quarter. The brokerage projects EBITDA growth at a compound annual rate of 22% between FY26 and FY28.

The stock is down nearly 27% over a year. The brokerage believes the correction has made valuations more attractive, although the stock’s recovery will depend on execution, delivery growth and the company’s ability to convert its order book into sustained earnings.
