Mumbai August, 13: Trishakti Industries Limited has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with XCMG for a purchase order valued at approximately ₹125 crore involving a 900-tonne heavy-lift crane, as the company expands its equipment fleet to serve India’s growing wind-energy infrastructure market.

According to the company’s exchange disclosure, the MoU with XCMG, a global construction equipment manufacturer, covers the addition of the specialised crane to Trishakti’s fleet.

The company said the equipment is intended for next-generation wind turbine installation, where increasing turbine heights and heavier components are creating demand for higher-capacity lifting equipment.

For Trishakti, the move represents an expansion beyond its existing infrastructure, steel, industrial and construction applications. The company said the crane is expected to support its strategy of building a modern, high-utilisation fleet.

Trishakti currently operates a fleet of more than 150 machines and serves over 100 clients across more than 25 industries, according to the press release.

Stock Market Snapshot

The announcement was followed by a sharp move higher in the company’s stock during Thursday’s trading session.

As of 2:40 PM IST on August 13, 2026, the Trishakti Industries share price stood at ₹233.50, up ₹7.50, or 3.32%, from the ₹226 reference level shown in the market data provided.

The stock traded mostly below ₹225 for much of the session before moving sharply higher in the afternoon. It crossed ₹230 and reached the ₹233-234 zone by the latest available timestamp.

The stronger move came as investors reacted to the company’s entry into the specialised heavy-lift equipment segment linked to wind turbine installation.

Wind Energy Demand Creates New Market For Heavy-Lift Equipment

India’s renewable energy expansion is driving demand for cranes and other specialised equipment capable of handling increasingly large wind turbine components.

Trishakti said the country’s installed wind capacity stood at approximately 47 GW, with the government targeting 100 GW by FY30. Larger and taller turbines are expected to require higher-capacity cranes for installation and maintenance.

The company said the 900-tonne crane could therefore open a new addressable market while complementing its existing equipment rental operations.

The proposed investment also fits with Trishakti’s broader fleet expansion. The company has deployed cumulative capex of more than ₹270 crore during FY27, according to the disclosure, while its annual recurring revenue has reached about ₹72 crore.

Chief Executive Officer Dhruv Jhanwar said the company’s focus is shifting towards specialised equipment as wind turbines become larger and the sector’s installation requirements evolve.

Conclusion

Trishakti Industries’ agreement with XCMG marks a strategic move into the specialised equipment segment supporting India’s expanding wind-energy infrastructure.

The proposed ₹125 crore order for a 900-tonne crane gives the company access to a higher-capacity equipment category and is aimed at meeting the requirements of next-generation wind turbine projects.

The market response was positive, with Trishakti Industries shares rising 3.32% to ₹233.50 as of 2:40 PM IST on August 13, 2026.
