US equity markets ended the day in green, on Friday, 24th October, 2025. Nasdaq ended the day, up by 263.07 points or 1.15%. Dow Jones ended the day, up by 472.51 points or 1.01%. S&P 500 ended the day, up by 53.25 points or 0.79%.

US, China agree to trade talks framework

US and China have agreed to a positive framework for the upcoming trade talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to Scott Bessent, US Treasury Secretary.  China would defer the proposed ban on export of rare earth minerals to America. It would also buy more soyabeans from America. America in return would defer the additional 100% tariff on Chinese goods that President Trump  announced would come into force from November 1st.

European markets also ended the day in green on Friday. Euro Stoxx 50 closed the day, up by 6.17 points or 0.11%. Dax ended the day, up by 32.10 points or 0.13%. FTSE 100 ended the day, up by 67.05 points or 0.70%.

Asian markets start the day strongly in green

Asian markets have started the day strongly in green today. Nikkei 225 is up by 1,037 points or 2.10% at 9:00 a.m. IST, today, 27th October, 2025. Japanese markets have got a boost as new PM Sanae Takaichi is likely to announce a fiscal stimulus soon. Hang Seng is up by 264.16 points or 1.01%. Kospi is up by 85.41 points or 2.17%. Shanghai composite is up by 41.04 points or 1.04%.

Indian markets are likely to see a positive day, today. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have once again started increasing their buying in Indian equity markets. Corporate results that have been announced till now have been in line with expectations, generally.
