US GDP grew by 4.3% in September quarter; Copper price touches record high

US markets ended the day in green, yesterday, 23rd December, 2025. Nasdaq ended the day, up by 133 points or 0.57%. Dow Jones ended the day, up by 79.73 points or 0.16%. S&P 500 ended the day, up by 31.30 points or 0.46%. US GDP grew by 4.3% in the September 2025 quarter. This was higher than expectations. This is also the highest quarterly GDP growth in the US economy in the past 2 years.

European markets also ended the day in green

Euro Stoxx 50 ended the day, yesterday, up by 5.59 points or 0.097%. Dax ended the day, up by 56.09 points or 0.23%. FTSE 100 ended the day, up by 23.25 points or 0.24%.

French parliament has passed a stopgap bill to avoid government shutdown in January. The Act will allow the government to keep on spending and collecting taxes in January without the passage of a budget bill.

Asian markets start the day in green

Nikkei 225 is in green today. At 8:55 a.m. IST, 24th December, 2025, it is up by 68.55 points or 0.14%. The Japanese Yen strengthened to 156 / dollar. Hang Seng is up by 24.88 points or 0.097%. Kospi is up by 4.81 points or 0.12%. Shanghai Composite is up by 8.79 points or 0.22%.

Price of copper touches record high

Price of copper has touched record high of $12,000 per ton. Stock prices of Hindalco, Hindustan Copper and Vedanta may see some price movement today because of this. Gold prices are also at record highs.  Titan’s stock may therefore also see price movement today. Foreign Institutional Investors’ activity in Indian markets may slow down today because of the Christmas week and holiday season.
