US House of Representatives may vote today to end government shutdown

Nasdaq closed the day, yesterday, 11th November, 2025, down by 58.87 points or 0.25%. Dow Jones closed the day, up by 559.3 points or 1.18%. S&P 500 closed the day, up by 14.18 points or 0.21%. US House of Representatives is likely to pass the spending bill that will end government shutdown, later in the day today.
Nvidia shares fell by 2.96%, yesterday
Nvidia’s shares fell by 2.96% yesterday to close at $193.16. This after it was revealed in the quarterly filing of Soft Bank that it had sold its entire stake in the company. Soft Bank said that it had sold its stake in Nvidia for $5.2 billion for financing its investments in OpenAI.
European markets gained yesterday
European markets gained yesterday. Euro Stoxx 50 ended the day, up by 61.24 points or 1.08%. Dax ended the day, up by 128.07 points or 0.53%. FTSE 100 continued with its rise this year. It ended the day, up by 112.45 points or 1.15%. In the September quarter, UK’s unemployment rate was 5%. This is the highest level of unemployment rate since Covid lockdowns. In spite of this weak jobs data, FTSE 100 gained yesterday.
Asian markets open in green
Nikkei is gaining today. At 8:40 a.m. 12th November, 2025, Nikkei 225 is up by 84.36 points or 0.17%. South Korean Kospi is up by 31.87 points or 0.78%. Shanghai composite is down by 2.19 points or 0.055%. Hang Seng is up by 160.16 points or 0.60%.
US President Donald Trump has said that tariffs on India may soon get reduced. This has increased hopes further that India and US may reach a trade deal soon. Net direct tax collection in FY26 till date has increased year-on-year (y-o-y) by 7% to Rs 12.96 crore.
