US markets end another day in green; gold prices touch record high amidst prevailing uncertainty

US equity markets again ended the day in green, yesterday, 29th September. Nasdaq ended the day, up by 107.09 points or 0.48%. Dow Jones ended the day, up by 68.78 points or 0.15%. S&P 500 ended the day, up by 17.51 points or 0.26%.

Israel’s PM, Binyamin Netanyahu, has agreed to a ceasefire plan proposed by US President Donald Trump for ending the war in Gaza. Amidst the prevailing uncertainty, gold prices jumped to record high of $3,800 per ounce. Gold prices have increased by 45% year-to-date in 2025.

European market ended the day on a flat note

Euro Stoxx 50 ended the day, yesterday, up by 7.15 points or 0.13%. Dax ended the day, up by 5.59 points or 0.024%. FTSE 100 ended the day, up by 15.01 points or 0.16%.

Asian markets have started the day on a mixed note

Asian equity markets have started the day on a mixed note today. At 9:00 IST, 30th September, 2025, Nikkei 225 is down by 20.27 points or 0.045%. Hang Seng index is down by 1.94 points or 0.0073%. South Korean Kospi is up by 2.51 points or 0.073%. Shanghai composite is up by 15.72 points or 0.41%.

Indian equity markets likely to see similar trading pattern today, as yesterday

Indian equity markets gave up early morning gains to close the day in red yesterday. Today too, markets are likely to see similar trading pattern. India’s Industrial production growth in August came down marginally to 4%. Moody’s has retained India’s credit rating to Baa3 with stable outlook. Baa3 is the lowest investment grade rating given by Moody’s.
