New Delhi, November 10, 2025: Shares of V-Mart Retail Limited (NSE: VMART; BSE: 534976) fell over 4% on Monday after the company reported its Q2 FY26 financial results, posting a net loss of ₹8.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. The decline in profitability was primarily due to pressure on margins amid subdued consumer demand.
V-Mart Retail Limited operates a chain of value fashion and lifestyle stores across India. The company caters primarily to tier-II and tier-III cities under the “V-Mart” brand. It focuses on affordable apparel and general merchandise. The company was founded in 2002 and has been listed on the NSE since February 2013. It is part of the Nifty Total Market Index and trades under the ticker VMART on NSE and 534976 on BSE.
Key Financial Highlights (Standalone)
WeWork India reported a steady improvement in profitability during the quarter. Revenue from operations rose to ₹574.7 crore, up from ₹535.3 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹469.5 crore in Q2 FY25.
Operating and other expenses declined slightly to ₹194.6 crore, compared to ₹199.5 crore in the previous quarter, reflecting enhanced operational discipline. The company’s operating margin expanded to 66.8%, from 63.4% in Q1 FY26.
EBITDA stood at ₹390.9 crore, while profit before tax came in at ₹6.2 crore, marking a turnaround from a ₹14.1 crore loss in the previous quarter. After tax, net profit (PAT) was ₹6.4 crore, translating to a PAT margin of 1.1%, indicating a significant operational recovery.
Market Performance
The share price of V-Mart Retail Limited closed at ₹781.95 on November 10, 2025. This was a 4.37% or ₹35.70 fall from its previous close of ₹817.65. The intraday range was between ₹738.65 and ₹821.20. The company had a slow trading session. Its total market capitalisation stood at ₹6,207.68 crore. Further, it had a total traded value and volume of ₹70.38 crore and 9.09 lakh shares, respectively.
