Why Volume Gainers List Matters
The Volume Gainers list highlights securities where trading activity has increased significantly compared with recent levels. A sharp rise in volume can indicate increased investor attention or a change in market participation. However, higher volume does not necessarily mean a stock will continue moving in the same direction. Comparing the volume increase with the LTP and percentage change can provide better context for understanding the market activity.
Conclusion
At 3:30 PM IST on October 5, 2026, the Bajaj Finserv Nifty Bank ETF led the Volume Gainers list with trading activity 114.72 times its one-week average. 5paisa Capital Ltd and Virtuoso Optoelectronics Ltd also recorded substantial increases in volume alongside positive price movements. DCM Shriram Industries Ltd gained 3.48%, while the DSP Nifty 10 Yr G-Sec Benchmark G-Sec ETF declined 1.47% despite its higher relative volume. The data shows that elevated trading participation was visible across both equity and ETF securities during the session.
