Why Volume Gainers Matter

A sudden rise in trading volume can be a sign that a stock or security is getting more attention from market participants. It becomes even more interesting when the increase in volume comes alongside a noticeable price move.

At the same time, high volume doesn’t automatically mean that a stock is headed higher or lower. Traders generally combine volume data with price action, company developments and broader market trends before taking a position.

Conclusion

At 4:00 PM IST on September 15, 2026, Igarashi Motors India Ltd topped the volume-gainer list with a 308.87x increase over its one-week average volume. The DSP BSE MidSmall Private Banks ETF, Redtape Limited, Shoppers Stop Limited and UTI BSE Sensex ETF also recorded significantly higher-than-usual trading activity. The sharp differences between today’s volumes and recent averages show where market participation picked up the most during the session.
