Why Volume Gainers List Matters
The Volume Gainers list helps identify stocks that are attracting considerably more trading activity than they normally do. A sudden increase can happen for several reasons, including a sharp price move, company-related developments or increased market interest. However, unusually high volume does not automatically indicate whether a stock will continue in the same direction. Looking at volume alongside the price change gives a more complete picture of the day’s activity. NSE also publishes dedicated volume-gainer and market-activity reports for tracking such movements.
Conclusion
At 4:00 PM IST on September 17, 2026, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd led the volume-gainer list, with trading activity reaching 55.58 times its past-week average. Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd followed at 54.01x, while RIR Power Electronics Ltd recorded the highest absolute volume among the five, with more than 3.63 crore shares traded. The India Cements Ltd and DS Kulkarni Developers Ltd also saw substantially higher activity than their recent averages.
