July 10, 2025: The Adani Group announces its entry into India’s healthcare sector. The initiative centers around the launch of “Adani Healthcare Temples” with AI-powered, 1,000-bed modular hospitals set to begin in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, supported by a strategic partnership with the Mayo Clinic.
The group sets to make a massive ₹60,000 crore investment. This marks a significant diversification for the group beyond its traditional domains of infrastructure and energy.
Launch of ‘Adani Healthcare Temples’
At the core of the initiative is the launch of “Adani Healthcare Temples” – AI-first, integrated hospitals, with initial facilities to be established in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Each hospital will be a 1,000-bed facility designed to deliver scalable, modular, and technology-anchored care.
Adani emphasized the urgent need for a healthcare revolution, calling back pain India’s leading cause of disability and stressing, “We cannot rise if our people cannot stand.” The initiative is envisioned as an “entrepreneurial revolution in medicine” founded on empathy, advanced infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
Impact-Driven Vision
The investment is part of the Adani family’s earlier philanthropic pledge of ₹60,000 crore toward healthcare, education, and skills development. The healthcare initiative is also aligned with the Group’s broader ₹100,000 crore capex plan over the next five years aimed at supporting the “spine of India’s rise.”
Adani stated “This is not evolution. It’s a revolution,” clarifying that the move into healthcare is not due to a lack of existing efforts but rather a belief that the current momentum is insufficient. Further, he urged the medical community to contribute by developing AI-based diagnostics, rural mobile theatres, and next-gen surgical centers.
Strategic Partnership
The hospitals will be developed in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic. It will serve as ecosystems that integrate clinical care, academic research, and medical training. The goal is to set new global standards for affordability, accessibility, and innovation in healthcare delivery.
Expansion Plans
The emphasis of the initiative will remain on modular and scalable infrastructure that integrates cutting-edge medical technology with compassionate care. Following the initial rollout in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the healthcare network is expected to expand to other cities.
