Adani Power Secures 3200 MW Assam Project in Major Long-Term Supply Win

Ahmedabad, November 14, 2025: Adani Power Limited announced that it received a Letter of Award from Assam Power Distribution Company Limited. Adani Power will supply 3,200 MW of power under a long-term arrangement.
Key Details of the Project
Adani Power is set to develop a 3,200 MW greenfield ultra-supercritical thermal power project in Assam, comprising four 800 MW units. The project will follow the Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model. Under the SHAKTI policy, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited has secured a coal linkage, ensuring a reliable fuel supply for sustained long-term operations.
Project Timeline & Strategic Significance
The project will be commissioned in December 2030. The full completion is expected by December 2032. This is a domestic contract. It follows the DBFOO structure. The company announced that it does not involve any promoter group or related third-party transaction.
Adani Power views this initiative as a significant opportunity to expand its generation capacity. The project will help Assam meet its long-term power requirements, supporting industrial growth and regional development.
Share Price Update
As of 12:12 PM, the share price of Adani Power Limited was trading at ₹154.30, which was a 1.61% gain today. Over the last year, the company’s shares have gained 40%, 42% year-to-date, and 0.25% in the last five days.
