Afcons Infrastructure Gets Projects of Rs 4,533 Crore in Croatia

Mumbai, 18 July 2025: Afcons Infrastructure Ltd (BSE: 544280, NSE: AFCONS) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for two large-scale highway construction projects in Croatia, valued at a combined ₹4,535 crore. The contracts were awarded by Croatian Motorways Ltd under Packages J324/23 and J325/23 for the southern stretch of the A1 Motorway, connecting Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik.
On 18 July 2025, at 10:00 am IST, shares of Afcons Infrastructure were trading at ₹422.10, up ₹5.80 or 1.39%. The stock opened higher at ₹437.00 and touched a high of ₹439.90, before dipping to ₹422.00 during early trading hours.
Afcons Bags Two Strategic Contracts Along Key European Corridor
Afcons has been selected to develop two critical sections of the A1 Motorway’s southern extension, a project vital to enhancing connectivity across Croatia and the broader Balkan region. The awarded packages cover a total stretch of 20.5 kilometres, falling between Metković and Dubrovnik.
The project details are as follows:
- Package J324/23: Covers the Rudine–Slano section spanning 9.0 km, with a contract value of €240.59 million, approximately ₹2,398 crore.
- Package J325/23: Covers the Slano–Puo Mravinjac section spanning 11.5 km, with a contract value of €214.45 million, approximately ₹2,137.44 crore.

Both contracts are set to be completed within 42 months from the formal commencement date, which will be finalised after the issuance of official awards.

The awarded contracts will follow a Bill of Quantities (BOQ)/item rate model, offering a structured and predictable pricing format. The execution plan outlines a clear 42-month timeline for completion, with all works commencing after the official start date is confirmed.
This framework ensures strong execution visibility for Afcons, aligning with international project delivery standards and allowing for streamlined financial and resource planning.
