Akasa Air Adds 39th Plane to Its Fleet

New Delhi: Akasa Air, which has been flying for nearly four years, on Monday received its 39th Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
So far in 2026, the airline has added eight aircraft to its fleet.
About the 39th plane, Akasa Air said the first leg of the aircraft’s delivery flight commenced from Seattle, USA, to Reykjavik, Iceland, and concluded with the final leg from Cairo, Egypt, to Bengaluru.
Bearing registration number VT-YBP, the Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 aircraft arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Monday, it said in a release.
The carrier has placed an order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and the remaining 187 planes are scheduled for delivery over the next six years. Currently, the airline connects 27 domestic and 7 international destinations.
