Corporate Announcements & Strategic Developments
Merger with Quality Care India Ltd
Aster DM Healthcare’s journey towards its next phase of growth began in FY25; it became the largest primary healthcare service provider in the GCC by revenue with the completion of its merger with Quality Care India Ltd. This landmark transaction is supported by global private equity giant Blackstone. This will strengthen Aster with significant opportunities for growth as the enlarged platform builds on scale and capabilities.
- The merger has already been approved by CCI and the shareholders of the company.
- It has also made a preferential allotment of around 3.6% stake to Blackstone and TPG, in return for an initial 5% stake in Quality Care.
- It will then take a no-objection certificate from capital markets regulator SEBI and stock exchanges, and then introduce a proposal to merger with National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
- The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of FY26.
