Cairo, June 26, 2025 – Aurionpro Solutions Ltd (NSE: AURIONPRO | BSE: 532668) has announced a major international contract to implement an Automated Fare Collection (AFC) system across Egypt’s public transport network. The project, secured in collaboration with MasterCard, significantly bolsters Aurionpro’s presence in the Middle East and Africa region.
Aurionpro Drives Egypt’s AFC Revolution
Aurionpro’s dedicated mobility division, Aurionpro Transit Pte Ltd, will oversee the technology implementation of the AFC system. The deployment includes advanced Validators, Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), and an open-loop fare collection software fully integrated with MasterCard Payment Gateway Services. This will enable secure, contactless digital payments across Egypt’s mass transit infrastructure.
The project is anchored by a tri-party agreement between:
- MasterCard
- National Bank of Egypt
- Mwasalat Misr Group, a key operator in Egypt’s urban mobility space
