Mumbai: Bandhan Bank on Wednesday said it has inaugurated its first dedicated corporate banking branch in Mumbai at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), as the private sector lender looks to strengthen its wholesale banking franchise and deepen engagement with corporate and institutional clients.
The specialised branch will exclusively cater to large corporates, mid-sized enterprises and institutional clients, offering a range of customised financial solutions, including relationship management, structured finance and sector-specific advisory services, the Bank said in a release.
As part of its broader strategy, Bandhan Bank plans to expand its corporate lending branch network across key business and commercial centres to strengthen its wholesale banking business, it stated.
“The launch of our dedicated corporate banking branch at BKC reflects our strategic focus on expanding our corporate banking franchise and providing specialised, relationship-led services to our corporate customers,” Partha Pratim Sengupta, managing director and chief executive officer of Bandhan Bank said.
The lender said the branch will help enhance service delivery and provide faster, specialised support to its growing corporate customer base.
The bank’s wholesale loan book stood at Rs 48,450 crore as of March 2026, accounting for 31.4 per cent of its overall advances portfolio.
Bandhan Bank said it intends to maintain its loan book mix at around 35 per cent microfinance and 65 per cent secured lending, while continuing to focus on growing secured retail and wholesale loans with emphasis on asset quality discipline.
