Bank of India Raises ₹2,500 Crore Through Tier II Bond Issue

Thursday, December 11, 2025: Bank of India has completed the issue of Basel III-compliant Tier II Bonds and raised ₹2,500 crore. The bank informed NSE and BSE that it received ₹4,982 crore in bids. The base issue size was ₹1,000 crore, and the green-shoe option was ₹1,500 crore, taking the total to ₹2,500 crore, which the bank accepted. The bids were received through the NSE Electronic Bidding Platform.
Issue Structure and Allotment Details
The bank reported that the bonds were non-convertible, taxable, subordinated and unsecured instruments. These are fully compliant with the Basel III norms. The issue consists of 2,500 bonds of ₹1 crore each under Series XVIII. The coupon (interest) rate for the bonds was fixed at 7.28%.
The issue opened on December 10, 2025, and closed on the same day. The deemed date of allotment is December 12, 2025. As per the regulatory filing, the bank received 68 bids on the NSE Electronic Bidding Platform, out of which 29 were accepted. The allotment date is fixed for tomorrow, December 12, 2025.

As of 03:00 PM, the share price of Bank of India was at ₹140.84, 1.944% higher than the previous closing price.
