Mumbai, June 23: Belding India Ltd has incorporated a new joint venture company, Belding HD India Private Limited, as part of its expansion into battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy projects, according to an exchange filing on Monday.

The newly incorporated entity was formed on June 22, 2026, as a joint venture between Belding India and HD Fabcon Private Limited. Belding India will hold a 55% stake in the venture, while HD Fabcon will own the remaining 45%.

The company said the new venture will combine HD Fabcon’s business development and market access capabilities with Belding India’s execution, manufacturing, project management and operational expertise.

Belding HD India will focus on identifying, securing, executing and managing projects in the renewable energy sector, with particular emphasis on battery energy storage systems and large-scale clean energy opportunities.

Stock Market Snapshot

The development comes as investors increasingly track companies seeking exposure to India’s energy transition and grid modernisation initiatives.

While the incorporation itself does not immediately add revenue, the move establishes a dedicated platform through which future renewable energy and energy storage projects can be pursued. The Belding India share price is likely to remain in focus as investors assess the commercial potential of the new venture and any project wins that may follow.

The filing did not disclose any immediate order book contribution or revenue guidance linked to the joint venture.

Strategic Move into a Fast-Growing Segment

Battery energy storage has emerged as one of the most closely watched segments within India’s clean energy ecosystem. As renewable power capacity expands, storage infrastructure is increasingly viewed as essential for balancing electricity supply and improving grid reliability.

By creating a separate joint venture, Belding India appears to be positioning itself to participate in upcoming opportunities across storage, renewable infrastructure and related project execution activities.

Management said the venture would focus on developing scalable business opportunities, securing large projects and building long-term strategic relationships within the sector.

The initial equity subscription in the company amounts to ₹55,000, representing 5,500 equity shares of ₹10 each, to be subscribed in cash by Belding India.

Company Background

Belding India operates in engineering and industrial solutions and has been exploring opportunities in emerging infrastructure and energy-related sectors. Through the newly established joint venture, the company is seeking to leverage its manufacturing and execution capabilities in areas linked to India’s renewable energy transition.

HD Fabcon brings business development and market access expertise to the partnership, creating a complementary structure for pursuing future projects.

Conclusion

The incorporation of Belding HD India marks Belding India’s formal entry into the battery energy storage and renewable energy space through a dedicated joint venture structure.

Although the venture is at an early stage and has yet to announce projects or contracts, the move signals the company’s intent to build a presence in one of the fastest-growing segments of India’s infrastructure and energy market. Investors will likely watch for future project announcements and execution milestones as the venture begins operations.
