Mumbai, 16 December 2025: BEML Limited has secured a fresh defence contract worth approximately ₹110 crore from the Ministry of Defence, reinforcing its role in India’s expanding indigenous manufacturing ecosystem. The order, disclosed through a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, relates to the supply of engines and has been received in the normal course of business.

₹110 Crore Defence Contract Signals Steady Order Inflows from Ministry of Defence

The company informed stock exchanges that it has bagged an order from the Ministry of Defence for supply of engines with a contract value of approximately ₹110 crore.This contract adds incremental visibility to BEML’s defence order book and aligns with the government’s continued focus on strengthening domestic defence manufacturing under long-term procurement programmes. The engine supply order supports ongoing defence requirements and reflects sustained engagement between BEML and key government stakeholders.

Share Price Rise 2.15& Amid the Order Announcement

BEML share price closed at ₹1,703.00 on the NSE, down ₹37.40 or 2.15% on 16 December 2025. The stock opened higher at ₹1,748.90, touched an intraday high of ₹1,748.90, and later slipped to a low of ₹1,695.00 before closing lower by the end of the session at 3:30 pm IST. The market capitalisation stood at ₹14.18 thousand crore, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 47.53. 

The ₹110 crore defence order adds incremental business visibility for BEML within its defence manufacturing segment and reflects continued engagement with government procurement programmes. The disclosure highlights operational continuity rather than a strategic shift, offering stakeholders clarity on routine order inflows and reinforcing the company’s role in India’s indigenous defence supply ecosystem.
