Mumbai, 11 July 2025: BEML Ltd (NSE: BEML) witnessed a decline in the share prices after the reports of operational delays in KGF (Kolar Gold Fields) surfaced. The news has caused initial investor concern, prompting a sell-off on fears around project execution and potential capex overrun.
The company has dismissed all such reports as mere rumours, stating there was no change in the operational status or timeline of the KGF unit.
The stock saw a significant decline during the early trades and was down by 3.5% for the first couple of hours. However, there was no further decline after the company’s clarification, and the stock moved sideways. At 03:15 PM, the stock traded at ₹4426 (3.89% down from the previous close). The day’s high was ₹4609 (around the opening minutes) and the low was ₹4411 per share.

KGF Speculation Addressed by Company
The stock slump followed media speculation surrounding BEML’s Kolar Gold Fields unit. In response, the company issued a formal clarification stating the media reports were inaccurate.
“The referred news is not accurate and seems to be some kind of rumour,” BEML clarified in its stock exchange filing, adding that the recent foundation stone laying was part of infrastructure development within existing premises — not a new business expansion.
The company further asserted that the activities are part of routine operations and do not warrant a separate regulatory intimation.
