Bharat Forge acquires AAM India for ₹746.46 Cr

Pune, July 2, 2025 – Bharat Forge Limited (NSE: BHARATFORG, BSE: 500493) announced the successful acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing Private Limited at an equity value of ₹746.46 crore. This 100% acquisition of AAM India boosts Bharat Forge’s axle manufacturing segment and strengthens its position in both commercial and EV axle markets.
The deal, first announced on October 17, 2024, received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on April 22, 2025. As of June 30, 2025, the final equity value remains subject to adjustments for net working capital. The acquired company had ₹189.48 crore in cash on its books, which will be earmarked to fuel future growth.
This acquisition is a strategic fit for the company’s core business as it will result in an enhanced OEM offering portfolio and expanded geographic footprint, supporting diversification and deeper integration with key CV and EV OEMs.
Bharat Forge’s share closed at ₹1313.10, up by 2.25% from the previous day’s closing price.

Strategic Significance
The acquisition enhances Bharat Forge’s footprint in the automotive components space, particularly in catering to both traditional and New Mobility technologies. AAM India is a well-recognised supplier to major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and its portfolio complements Bharat Forge’s existing capabilities.
