New Delhi, July 16: State-owned BHEL on Thursday posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 376.71 crore in the June quarter, supported by increased income.
It had clocked a loss of Rs 455.50 crore in the corresponding first quarter of the preceding 2025-26 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing.
During April-June, the company’s total income rose to Rs 7,911.86 crore from Rs 5,658.07 crore in the year-ago period.
In Q1FY27, BHEL expenses stood at Rs 7,415.62 crore as against Rs 6,269.78 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The major share of revenues (Rs 5,919.50 crore) came in from the power segment, higher from Rs 3,898.86 crore a year ago.
BHEL is one of the largest engineering and manufacturing companies of its kind in India engaged in design, engineering, construction, testing, commissioning and servicing of a wide range of products and services with over 180 product offerings to meet the ever-growing needs of the core sectors of the economy.
Stock Market Snapshot
BHEL share price surged in late trade on July 16, reversing a largely range-bound session to emerge among the day’s top gainers. The stock climbed 4.56% to ₹437.00 as of 3:20 PM IST, after touching ₹437.85 during the day.
For much of the session, the stock traded close to the previous day’s closing levels before witnessing strong buying interest in the final hour. The sharp rebound lifted BHEL well above its opening price of ₹424.20, suggesting renewed investor confidence after the late-session rally.
The move also came on healthy market participation, with buying interest outweighing selling activity toward the close, helping the stock finish near the day’s highest levels.
