Birla Corporation Q2FY26 Results: Consolidated Net Profit at ₹90.48 Crore; Revenue at ₹2,206.53 Crore

Kolkata, November 7, 2025: Birla Corporation Ltd (NSE: BIRLACORPN, BSE: 500335) reported a consolidated net profit of ₹90.48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, reflecting a sequential decline of ₹29.09 crore. Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,206.53 crore, down from ₹2,454.22 crore in Q1FY26, indicating a moderation in sales volumes and realisations during the quarter.
Key Financial Highlights
Birla Corporation Ltd reported revenue from operations of ₹2,206.53 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025, marking a 13% year-on-year growth but a 10.1% decline compared to the previous quarter. The company posted a net profit of ₹90.48 crore, a turnaround from a loss of ₹25.19 crore in Q2FY25, though lower than the ₹119.57 crore recorded in Q1FY26. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at ₹11.75, down from ₹15.53 in the preceding quarter.
The total income for the quarter was ₹2,233.44 crore as against ₹2,486.16 crore in Q1FY26 and ₹1,969.78 crore in Q2FY25. The operating margin that was 13.99% is slightly less than 14.29% in Q1FY26, while the net profit margin has fallen to 4.15% from 4.93%.
Segment Performance
The cement division, the cornerstone of Birla Corporation’s revenue, recorded ₹2,073.16 crore in revenue and an EBIT of ₹196.01 crore in Q2FY26, down from ₹2,341.86 crore and ₹237.31 crore respectively in the previous quarter. The jute segment posted revenue of ₹133.03 crore and an EBIT of ₹3.96 crore, reflecting stable performance compared to ₹112.47 crore in revenue and ₹4.72 crore in EBIT in Q1FY26. The “Others” segment reported a minor turnover of ₹1.46 crore, with a loss of ₹1.51 crore. Overall, the cement segment was responsible for more than 94% of the total revenues during the quarter, while the jute segment remained at a steady level in terms of profitability.
Stock Performance
Following the results announcement, Birla Corporation’s share price ended on a bright note, with 1.18% upward movement at ₹1,204.10. During the day, the highest price was ₹1,244.30 and the lowest was ₹1,153.00.
Half-Yearly Overview (H1FY26)
Birla Corporation has achieved a consolidated revenue of ₹4,660.75 crore during the first half of FY26 as compared to ₹4,142.93 crore in H1FY25. Net profit went up massively to ₹210.05 crore from ₹7.43 crore a year previously, thus indicating the company’s improved operational efficiency and lower input cost pressure.
Management Commentary
Company Chairman Harsh V. Lodha noted that the quarterly results reflect the management’s sustained focus on operational efficiency and cost control. Profitability was supported by the strong efficiency of cement operations, despite softer realizations compared to the previous quarter. He added that, alongside capacity expansion, strengthening the distribution network will be the company’s next strategic focus to ensure long-term growth.
