Britannia Industries Ltd. released its quarter and year ended March 31, 2025, performance with solid topline and bottomline growth in challenging macroeconomic environment. The FMCG market leader also declared a major final dividend for the shareholders.

Q4 and Full-Year Performance Highlights:

Britannia logged in the quarter ended March 31, 2025:

  • Consolidated Sales: ₹4,376 crore, growing 9% year-on-year
  • Net Profit: ₹559 crore, i.e., 4% year over year over the same quarter

For FY25:

  • Total Revenue: ₹17,535 crore, up 6% from FY24
  • Net Profit: ₹2,178 crore, up 2% from the previous year

Dividend Announcement:

The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹75 per face value equity share of ₹1 each, subject to approval by the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.

What Does the Management Say?

Observing the performance of the company, Vice Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Varun Berry said:

“Reporting a high single-digit value growth of 9% in Q4 in a constrained consumption scenario, the performance is a testimony to our resilience. We have offset commodity inflation, fluctuating trade conditions, and weak demand by value pricing as well as operating agility.”

He pointed out that cost saving initiatives achieved savings of approximately 3% of turnover, which guaranteed the profitability of the year.

Future Outlook:

Britannia also strengthened its distribution network, which now boasts almost 29 lakh outlets in India. A greater rural emphasis was followed by deep market penetration.

The Key Product Launches During the Quarter Were:

  • Pure Magic Choco Frames (premium e-commerce first launch)
  • Winkin’ Cow Grow (concentrating on the surrounding dairy-based category)

Apart from this, Britannia also strengthened leadership brands with segment-specific campaigns on Marie Gold and Good Day.

Stock Performance:

Britannia Industries shares have gained 6.9% in the last year, and 1.7% in the last month.
