Ceigall India Secures PSPCL BESS 50 MW Battery Storage Project

Ceigall India secured a 50 MW battery energy storage project from PSPCL worth about ₹125 crore, while shares gained 0.97% on May 13, 2026.

Mumbai, May 13: Ceigall India Ltd received a selection letter for setting up a 50 MW standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Punjab from Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL), according to an exchange filing on Wednesday.
Ceigall India said the project was awarded through an e-reverse auction conducted by PSPCL under tariff-based global competitive bidding.
According to the company, the contract involves setting up, operating and maintaining a 50 MW Battery Energy Storage System plant in Punjab. The agreement also includes supply of power for 12 years under a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA).
The company stated that the project tariff stands at ₹2.99 per KWh and the estimated project cost is approximately ₹125 crore.
As per the disclosure, the work execution timeline is 18 months, while the operational period under the agreement extends for 12 years from the scheduled commissioning date.
Ceigall India clarified that the contract is domestic in nature and does not involve related party transactions or promoter group interests in the awarding entity.
Share Price Movement On May 13, 2026
Ceigall India shares traded higher during Wednesday’s session following the project announcement. Ceigall India share price rose 0.97% to ₹354.20 as of 1:05 pm IST on May 13, 2026, compared with the previous close of ₹350.80.
The stock opened at ₹347.20 and touched a high of ₹359.40 during the session, according to exchange data. The company’s market stood near ₹6.17 crore during afternoon trade.
Investors tracked the development amid increasing participation by infrastructure and EPC companies in India’s energy storage and renewable power ecosystem.
