CNG Prices Today, June 9, 2026: CNG Rates Hold Steady Across All Indian Cities

Mumbai, June 9: Compressed natural gas (CNG) prices across India remained completely unchanged on Tuesday, with every city in the national survey carrying forward Monday’s rates without revision. From New Delhi at the bottom of the pricing ladder to Chennai, Hyderabad, Firozabad and Mathura at the top, not a single city recorded a hike or a cut — extending a broad pricing freeze that has now held across multiple consecutive sessions.
New Delhi retained its standing as the most affordable CNG market in the country at ₹83.09 per kg, served by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL). The wider NCR corridor continued its familiar tiered structure: Gurugram held at ₹88.12 per kg, while Noida and Ghaziabad each remained at ₹91.70 per kg — identical to Monday’s rates. Meerut held at ₹91.58 and Sonipat at ₹92.50, maintaining the price gradient that has characterised the NCR fringe through this run of stability.
Mumbai, supplied by Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), continued at ₹86.00 per kg for a second straight session. Rewari stayed flat at ₹87.70. The mid-range cluster — Bangalore and Bharatpur at ₹95.00 per kg and Dewas at ₹95.50 — also saw no movement. At the upper end, Chennai, Hyderabad, Firozabad and Mathura all held at ₹97.00 per kg, the highest rates in the current dataset, unchanged from Monday.
The across-the-board freeze reflects the pricing rhythm of India’s city gas distribution companies, which typically review and revise tariffs on a fortnightly-to-monthly schedule rather than reacting to daily swings in global crude benchmarks. That insulation from short-term volatility has kept pump prices stable even as international oil markets have been rattled by geopolitical developments in the Middle East.
For the millions of CNG vehicle users across India — from auto-rickshaw drivers in Delhi to cab fleets in Mumbai and private car owners in Hyderabad — Tuesday brings no relief and no additional burden. The pump price is exactly where it was on Monday, and on the several days before that.

Petrol & Diesel Prices
Petrol and diesel prices remained largely stable across metros and state capitals on Tuesday. While fuel rates were unchanged in key cities such as New Delhi, Kolkata and Chandigarh, modest increases were recorded in Bengaluru, Chennai and Lucknow. Bengaluru registered the sharpest rise in both petrol and diesel prices, while Jaipur saw the steepest decline. Variations in fuel prices continued to be driven by state-specific taxes, VAT rates and local levies.
On the global front, Brent crude futures fell approximately 0.9% to $93.3 per barrel on Tuesday, as easing tensions between Iran and Israel reduced immediate concerns over disruptions to global energy supplies.
