CNG Rate Today, June 16, 2026: CNG Prices Hold Steady Across India, NCR and Metro Markets Unchanged from Monday

Mumbai, June 16: Compressed natural gas prices across India remained unchanged on Tuesday, with every major metro and state capital tracked in the national survey holding firm at Monday’s revised levels, following a session that had seen selective upward adjustments in Bangalore, Firozabad, Dewas and Sonipat. The pause comes even as crude oil registered a modest rebound on Tuesday, with Brent and WTI both edging up 0.3% after Monday’s near-5% slide, suggesting city gas distribution (CGD) companies are yet to factor the latest oil price movements into their pricing decisions, consistent with their typical fortnightly-to-monthly revision cycles.
New Delhi Remains Cheapest, Firozabad Costliest
New Delhi continued as the most affordable CNG market in the country at Rs 83.09 per kg, unchanged from Monday, while Firozabad held its position atop the national pricing ladder at Rs 98.00 per kg — the level it had reached after Monday’s Rs 1.00 hike. In the NCR corridor, Indraprastha Gas Limited kept New Delhi steady, with Gurugram at Rs 88.12 per kg, Noida and Ghaziabad both at Rs 91.70 per kg, and Meerut at Rs 91.58 per kg, preserving the region’s familiar tiered pricing structure for a second consecutive session.
No Movement in Bangalore, Mumbai or Other Recently Revised Markets
Bangalore, which had recorded Monday’s largest absolute hike of Rs 2.00 to reach Rs 97.00 per kg, held at that level on Tuesday — now level with Chennai, Hyderabad, Mathura and Bharatpur, all unchanged at Rs 97.00 per kg. Mumbai, supplied by Mahanagar Gas Limited, remained flat at Rs 86.00 per kg, while Sonipat, Dewas and Rewari — all of which had seen rate action through last week and Monday — showed no further change on Tuesday, holding at Rs 94.00, Rs 96.00 and Rs 87.70 per kg respectively.
Outlook
With Tuesday’s session confirming a pause in CGD pricing action, market attention now shifts to the next scheduled revision window, expected around June 30 for most distribution companies. Should the Iran-US ceasefire hold and Brent crude sustain its move toward the $80–$83 range, that window could bring the first meaningful round of CNG price cuts since the Iran war began disrupting global energy markets in February.
