Mumbai, July 9: CNG prices remained stable throughout India on Thursday after Bharatpur and Dewas raised prices by a small margin yesterday. Websites of Indraprastha Gas, Mahanagar Gas, GAIL Gas and Torrent Gas showed that none of the 15 cities covered revised prices today, keeping the national level CNG price matrix unchanged from Wednesday’s close. This comes after a week where we witnessed scattered increases in the central-India region whilst most metros and NCR stayed relatively quiet throughout the week.
Hyderabad continues to be the most expensive city to buy CNG in at Rs 103.00 per kg, unchanged since Monday’s increase. It is followed by Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad at Rs 98.00 per kg and Bharatpur at Rs 97.50 per kg, unchanged since yesterday’s revision. New Delhi remains the cheapest city to buy CNG in at Rs 83.09 per kg, unchanged for yet another pricing session and now staying nearly Rs 3 cheaper than Mumbai at Rs 86.00 per kg.
Noida and Ghaziabad remained unchanged at Rs 91.70 per kg, Gurugram at Rs 88.12 per kg, Rewari at Rs 87.70 per kg and Meerut at Rs 91.50 per kg while Sonipat was the most expensive city within NCR at Rs 94.00 per kg. Chennai, Bangalore, Mathura and Dewas all remained unchanged at Rs 97.00 per kg, however Dewas retained yesterday’s gain instead of dropping back to its prior Rs 96.00 price level.
The gap between cheapest city (New Delhi) and costliest city (Hyderabad) to buy CNG remains Rs 19.91 and remains unchanged for a second consecutive session. The widest gap within a cluster continues to be NCR at Rs 10.91 and ranges from Rs 83.09 per kg in Delhi to Rs 94.00 per kg in Sonipat. As always, please remember these prices to be indicative and that they’re based on what’s currently available in the public domain through CGD companies websites. They’re also subject to local area taxes and can vary depending on which CNG outlet you visit. Please consult your local station before fuelling as retail prices can sometimes trail or lead prices published on company websites by a session or two.
