Cosmo First Limited has officially commenced commercial production at its newly commissioned BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film line at its Waluj facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The company announced this milestone in a regulatory filing under the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.
This new 5-layer BOPP line, featuring a 10.4-meter width, stands among the highest-capacity film production lines globally, with an annual capacity of 81,200 metric tonnes. With this addition, Cosmo First’s total BOPP production capacity now rises to approximately 277,000 metric tonnes per annum.
The facility is equipped with the most advanced technology, further strengthening Cosmo First’s manufacturing capabilities in the flexible packaging segment. The development follows the company’s earlier intimation dated September 16, 2021. It also aligns with its long-term growth strategy in specialty films. Investors and stakeholders have been requested to take note of the update.
