Crude Oil Futures Rise Tracking Global Trends

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 106 to Rs 8,255 per barrel in the futures trade on Tuesday amid positive global trends.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for September delivery rose by Rs 106, or 1.3 per cent, to Rs 8,255 per barrel in a business turnover of 7,895 lots.

Analysts said the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at USD 87.14 per barrel, up 1.61 per cent. Brent crude was up 1.39 per cent at USD 91.75 per barrel in New York.
